Possible oral cancer symptoms

Talk to your dentist if you have one or more of the following symptoms:

  • Painful chewing and/or swallowing
  • Persistent sore throat
  • Mouth sores that bleed or do not heal
  • Pain in the tongue
  • Spots in the mouth or on the gums that thicken and become raised
  • Loosening of teeth
  • Dentures that lose their fit
  • Stiff or sore jaw
